| ANTIQUE RECLAIMED HARDWOOD LUMBER | ||||||||||
| The old growth hardwood we sell was first harvested in the earlier parts of 1900 where, while green, it was used to build the homesteads, farms, and small towns of America's rural Midwest. In its first life, our antique reclaimed hardwood was a majestic hardwood tree that lived as a virgin forest well before the time of George Washington. Now in its re-claimed life, we bring this quality aged material to artisans and architects. This rare, tight grained, antique old growth lumber can be used while still preserving our nation's invaluable stands of old growth timber. | ||||||||||

| This aged hardwood is the preferred material for fine arts, repairing antique furnishings, making that exquisite replica piece, or replacing or repairing wood work or flooring in older homes. It has been drying under roofs for decades and has aged to a hardness, density, and color unsurpassed by contemporary lumber. Experienced artisans love working with this aged wood. | ||||||||||

| "It's really a joy working with this old stuff. It brings a bit of the real frontier to my work and an authenticity to my replica pieces which my customers really appreciate. It's history in wood." | ||||||||||
| "This hardwood is old, hard, and beautiful. It's the same hardwood my grandfather might have used when he made his mission chest, only now it's aged to an even richer color. Very few folks under age 70 have ever worked with hardwood this old." | ||||||||||
| "I like working with this aged reclaimed lumber because it's so stable, it doesn't move an iota so my seams stay true, it won't draw moisture, and it finishes easily and looks fantastic when done." | ||||||||||
